Kotodama, The way of the mirror is a bridge between Spain and Japan through their two oldest and most emblematic pilgrimage routes: the Way of St. James and the Shikoku Henro. A journey through nature and the discovery of shodo, Japanese calligraphy, serves as a mirror, inviting us to walk within ourselves.

As we enter into this story of connection with nature and the art of calligraphy, the protagonist will show us how the bunbo shiho, the four treasures of calligraphy: fude, sumi, suzuri and washi, are made, interviewing their artisans, as well as pilgrims, calligraphers and experts on the roads.

A documentary and exhibition project by Carla Cañellas and Eugenio Tardón AEC
